My love of science and technology comes from spending far too much time at University. Having ticked off a BSc, MSc and PhD across the physical and life-sciences I embarked on a career focussed on bringing cutting edge tech to market.
Having cut my teeth as a product manager developing of portfolio of metrology platform solutions for the pharmaceutical industry, I have spent the last decade within the technology transfer ecosystem.
From classics to chemisty, engineering to astro-physics my time in academic technology commercialisation brought success in out-licensing and spin-out creation across a diverse spectrum of sciences.
Now, my focus with Ploughshare is overseeing the growth of our life-sciences portfolio and successfully evolving early stage healthcare and medtech technologies into successful commercial ventures.
Out of the office, I can usually be found being fixed by my physio having broken something running, riding or swimming silly long distances. During less arduous times, I also enjoy creating ‘interesting’ artworks in my garage studio with my young daughter – exhibition coming to a gallery near you soon!
