At my core, I am a people person. I am friendly, outgoing and interested in others. I want everyone who works for Ploughshare to feel that they can bring their whole self to work, without fear of judgement or criticism. I take pride in checking in with my colleagues to gauge if they are content and satisfied in their roles.
I’m committed to finding the right people to join our team, from a diverse range of backgrounds and experience. I take my responsibility to ensure that pay and benefits are fair and transparent very seriously. I am approachable and keen to help with any pay, pension or benefits queries that my colleagues have.
I am passionate about mental health first aid in the workplace, particularly because I know what it’s like to not be in a good place. Whatever I, as an HR professional, can do to assist when it counts; I want to be there to do so.
I’ve lived in a variety of countries and have a positive and liberal outlook on life, which can sometimes get me in trouble when discussing politics! I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, which revolves a bit too much around food, so I also run in my spare time. I am a mum to a tweenager, so I can translate awkward silences pretty well.
