I joined Ploughshare as the HR Director in the Autumn of 2022 with an agenda of developing and bringing to life our People Plan and Strategy, and this very much remains my focus as we continue to grow our business.
It is an exciting time for Ploughshare with many opportunities to look forward to in the future. Our people initiatives underpin and reinforce the innovative nature of our colleagues in the business.
I started my career in a commercial role and then ‘fell in’ to Human Resources as part of a secondment to a unionised employee relations function within a regional energy supply company – I never left HR after that! I have led HR teams in various sectors including publishing, financial services, consultancy, retail and supply chain; all of which have helped me build my experience and knowledge, as well as bring my ability to explore and use creative solutions in helping people to be the best at what they do.
Away from work, I have a very strong interest in the arts and music as well as enjoy cooking and photography; when I can find the time, I also love to sit down and immerse myself in a good book!
