Hannah is the Head of New Business Development at Ploughshare, where she works to build new partnerships and ventures with public and private sector organisations to transform their innovations into real-world impact that deliver financial return and broader economic and societal benefits.
She joined Ploughshare in early 2023, building on extensive experience from the university sector, where she focused on deep tech spin-outs and licensing. Hannah holds a PhD in Engineering and has a diverse technical background including biomedical, aerospace, and printable electronics. Her ability to guide public and private partners across the “valley of death” stands out as a consistent theme in her career – turning advanced technologies into tangible solutions.
Beyond her role at Ploughshare, Hannah contributes to the wider innovation ecosystem. She has been a Panel Assessor for the Royal Academy of Engineering Enterprise Fellowships, a Mentor for Women in Defence and serves as a NATO DIANA Mentor/Expert and on the External Advisory Board for the NW CyberCom project.
Outside of work, Hannah enjoys exploring the outdoors in the Peak District and is a keen traveller, always looking for new adventures and inspiration.
